Mercedes Brooks

My Story

Mercedes Brooks Bio (DA Method Sports Agency) Mercedes Brooks most recently served as Associate Head Coach at Texas Southern University where she oversawerce many divisions in the program including but not limited to; Recruiting Coordinating, Social media, Gear/Equipment, Strength & Conditioning and Player Development. Prior to TSU, Brooks served as an assistant coach at Panola College in Carthage, Texas where she helped the team compile a 21-8 record along with a top 25 national ranking throughout the season. Prior to Panola, Brooks spent the 2019-20 season at The Emery Weiner School in Houston as the school’s head coach. She made history at the school by leading the program to its best finish in school history along with its first-ever playoff berth, A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Brooks was a three-time all-state performer at Rider High School and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee after averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. She earned a scholarship to Kansas State of the Big 12 and earned the team’s Leadership Award. Following her freshman year, Brooks transferred to Trinity Valley Community College where she played under Gerald Ewing during the 2017-18 season. Brooks had a standout career at TVCC as she averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per contest while leading the Cardinals to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament where they finished the season as the National runner-up. Brooks earned All-Tournament honors at nationals and also received a Leadership Award at the end of the season. Brooks earned a scholarship to LSU following her career at TVCC and spent two years under head coach Nikki Fargas. She earned the Hard Hat award during the SEC Tournament which was presented to the player which showcased the biggest impact on the floor. Brooks was also a standout performer in the classroom as she earned the 3.0 GPA and above award for two years while also earning a spot in the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society. Brooks’ most notable characteristic is her energy, organization and dedication. She has always been known for her energy that she’s able to bring every day as well as being known for making a powerful impact wherever she goes. “I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to join DA Method Sports Agency,” said Brooks. “I am also very passionate about my new career path and I look forward to helping our athletes open doors to new opportunities and excel on every platform.

Rodney Pittman

My Story

odney Pittman is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Nutritionist with Da Method Sports agency. He brings over 10 years of experience in strength, conditioning, biomechanics, and exercise programming. For 4 years he was the General Manager at Haden Sports & Performance, a premier fitness facility in the Washington Metropolitan area. While at Haden Sports, he co-founded 1 Strong all Great, a non-profit organization that educates and trains at-risk youth and youth with special needs. He graduated with a B.S. in Communication from the University of Illinois and later became a Certified Personal trainer with the American Council of Exercise (ACE). He played Division I football for the University of Illinois; while there he received numerous accolades and played in the 2008 Rose Bowl. In 2009 he was invited to the Washington Redskin’s rookie minicamp and later bounced around the USFL and Arena Football Professional Leagues. After completing his athletic career, Rodney entered the competitive NYC fitness market. In 2012, Rodney began training in NYC at an exclusive Upper East Side gym where he ultimately became one of the company’s top specialist trainers. He later founded 1 st & Goal Fitness LLC. Rodney has worked with some of the top CEO's & athletes from across the country. We are proud to have him on the team at Da Method Sports Agency.

AJ Mason

My Story

AJ Mason is the co-founder and content manager of DA Method Sports. AJ has always had a strong passion for sports and a deep background, including being a former athlete all the way up through the collegiate level. He also has over ten years in sports media. AJ received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from West Virginia Wesleyan in 2008 on a four-year NCAA Division II athletic scholarship for basketball. In 2014, he continued his education, receiving a Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from the California University of Pennsylvania. AJ brings over a decade of experience in the media industry as a full-time sports journalist for the Washington Post, The Gazette, and the Maryland Independent Newspapers. During that time, he covered a wide variety of sporting events at the professional, amateur, collegiate, and high school levels. His experience has allowed him to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with numerous athletes and coaches. AJ brings an in-depth knowledge and understanding of agent regulations & player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing, and recruiting. AJ is driven by his passion and love for sports. As an agent, AJ gives his unwavering commitment to his client’s wealth, personal life, career, and post-career. He also understands the importance of developing effective strategies to create and nurture his client’s brand. He also understands the critical role that TRUST plays between an agent and a client. AJ believes in treating his clients like family and he is committed to helping each client achieve their goal and dreams in the world of professional sports.

Justin Allen

My Story

Justin Allen is the Co-founder of The Da Method empire, having started Da Method Apparel with his partners and finding great success Justin decided to expand the brand to sports management thus Da Method Sports, a sports management and talent recruitment agency. Justin has always had a passion and position in the sports world. His tenure began as a youth and took off while attending Cheyney’s University he was a four-year standout on Cheyney’s football team in addition to being one of the top-ranked NCAA Division II linebackers in the country. Justin was also named All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) two years in a row, receiving second-team honors as a junior, and earned a spot on the first team in his senior season. Justin also excelled in college outside of playing football. He was an honor roll student and the Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletics. His desire to inspire the youth led him to become a recognized motivational speaker for local high school students. After a stellar collegiate career, Justin had the opportunity of working out for several NFL teams, but his journey instead propelled him to become a business owner. In 2008-09 he came back to Cheyney as an assistant coach and head strength and conditioning coach on the Cheyney football staff. Justin also spent a brief time coaching as an assistant and linebackers coach at his alma mater Westlake High School in Waldorf, Maryland. As a former professional athlete turned agent, Justin has first-hand experience that reflects his knowledge in agent regulations, player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing, and recruiting. His mission is simple, to assist athletes to accomplish their dreams of playing professional sports, as well as help them build a sustainable lifestyle afterward.
